Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of cutting-edge structural and civil engineering solutions for specialized facilities supporting military and space systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural and civil design, analysis, and evaluations for high-hazard and technically complex facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and constructability reviews to support facility upgrades, new construction, and modifications.
- Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and reports using advanced design software.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including reviewing submittals, conducting inspections, and resolving engineering challenges.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards, including military and aerospace specifications.
- Lead or support project management efforts, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and reports for project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with a focus on high-hazard or technically advanced facilities preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASCE, ACI, AISC, IBC).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and a fast-paced project environment.
- Familiarity with military or aerospace facility requirements is a plus.
