About the Role:
This newly created role will inject fresh ideas into the supply chain function, addressing challenges with logistics, freight costing, and warehousing. Reporting directly to the Director overseeing financials for 22 plants nationwide, you will be an individual contributor driving strategic and operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs for on-time delivery, order accuracy, storage utilization, and transportation costs. Provide actionable insights through detailed reporting.
- Cost Efficiency: Analyze logistics and warehousing expenses to identify trends, issues, and cost-saving opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation, labor, and inventory costs.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and predictive modeling to inform warehousing and logistics decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Inventory Optimization: Develop region-specific inventory strategies to balance cost efficiency and service levels while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives using lean methodologies and automation to enhance warehousing and logistics operations.
- System Integration: Play a critical role in implementing or upgrading financial systems to support central finance operations.
- Collaboration: Serve as a business partner to the SVP of Supply Chain and cross-functional teams, fostering alignment on strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain controlling, logistics, or warehousing, with success in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in cost analysis, performance monitoring, and regional inventory optimization.
- Proficiency in data analytics and tools like Power BI.
- Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a dynamic and analytical approach.
- Experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills are highly preferred.
- Flexibility to travel as needed, particularly to Marion, OH.
