A well established urology practice in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing various clinical and administrative tasks to enhance patient service and streamline operations.

*Responsibilities*
* Escort patients to exams or treatment rooms.
* Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
* Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physician.
* Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures as requested.
* Administer medications as directed by the physician or nursing staff.
* Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health systems.
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the medical office environment.
* Maintain all exam room disinfection protocols.
* Triage incoming patient phone calls for referral to nurse or physician.

*Experience*
* Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a urology office is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to vital signs, medication administration, and patient care systems is essential.
* Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
