About the Job:
The Endoscopy Technician's responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the instruments, equipment, and sterile settings required for gastrointestinal operations at the medical facility.
What You’ll Do:
- Performs sterile procedures on rooms and equipment, including scopes, both before and after procedures in accordance with instructions.
- Provides assistance to registered nurses and physicians while they are performing procedures, as required.
- Ensures that the appropriate equipment is functioning properly and carries out safety checks.
- Performs routine maintenance and/or emergency repairs on endoscopic equipment.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Nursing Assistant with experience in an Endoscopy setting or Surgical Technician with experience in Endoscopy setting preferred.
- Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required, unless other current NH License is held.
- Current Nursing Assistant License (LNA) or certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred at the time of hire OR within thirty (30)-days of hire required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred at time of hire; OR completion of BLS certification within thirty (30) days of hire required.
