Who We Are:
The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed unit with an average census of 12 patients. We are comprised of roughly 50 employees with Nurse-to-Patient Ratios of 1:2 (1:1 for CRRT and balloon pump care) with 2 LNA on days and 1 LNA on nights. The typical patient population consists of adults 17 & older with the following conditions: trauma, respiratory, surgical, neuro, sepsis, ARDS, and pulmonary.
About the Job:
The ICU Registered Nurse delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice.

Who You Are:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Two years as a cardiovascular ICU Nurse
- Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
- Technical Certification: BLS and ACLS required and maintained during employment. Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within the three years of entering the specialty practice.
- Software/Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new system or performs upgrades to existing systems.
