Overview:
Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Neurosurgical Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive care to patients with neurosurgical needs in both clinical and surgical settings. The role requires participation in call rotation and offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced neurosurgeons in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic interpretation.
- Provide ongoing care in the outpatient clinic, managing follow-up visits and patient consultations.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in hospital rounds, performing procedures as credentialed, and ensuring continuity of care.
- Share in a call schedule, providing coverage for urgent and emergent neurosurgical cases.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation in compliance with clinic policies.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Two years of experience as a practicing PA; surgical subspecialty preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in neurosurgery
- Management of patients with complex neurosurgical conditions.
- Neurovascular procedures and techniques.
