Position Summary

As a Physician Assistant at Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Specialists of East Alabama, you will collaborate with a team of board-certified specialists to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with allergies, asthma, and immunologic conditions. The role combines clinical expertise with patient education to ensure optimal care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient histories, physical exams, and assessments for allergies, asthma, and immunologic conditions.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as spirometry, allergy testing (skin and patch), and food challenges.
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans, including allergen immunotherapy and biologic therapies.
• Provide acute and chronic care management for conditions like seasonal allergies, eczema, asthma, and primary immunodeficiencies.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive measures, and medication use.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based care.
• Assist in maintaining and updating electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with documentation standards.
• Stay informed about advancements in allergy, asthma, and immunology care.
