Travel CT Technologist - $3,041 per week at Brigham & Women's Hospital summary:

As a Travel CT Technologist, I operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and deliver patient care in accordance with departmental protocols. I hold certifications in BLS, ARRT, and a Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license, and am responsible for patient transport, equipment calibration, and maintaining CEUs. My role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function independently under pressure while overseeing technology students and staff within the department.

    Job Details
  • Level 1 trauma and Siemen’s experience is required
  • Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental protocol
  • Delivers patient care under scope of license / training
  • Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the work day
  • Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements
  • May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students within the department
  • Transport and transfer patients using established procedures according to departmental guidelines
  • Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative under pressure in a variety of situations when performing patient exams
    Job Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology
  • Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license
  • Registered or eligible for certification in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required
  • 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses
  • Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and / or emotional stress
    Additional Details
  • Submit a color photo taken in past 6 mos. No selfies, no filters. Plain Background. Symmetrical headshot, shoulders up, look straight/no tilted head. No eyeglasses.
  • Primary Source Verification of professional license and/or certification, as required for the position. Within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration. MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
  • N95 - within 365 days to start date and updated annually. No fit testing(initial or updates) can be done onsite at any location.
  • A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series that is approved by the FDA or the World Health Organization (WHO) OR an up-to-date COVID vaccine if a primary series was never received or completed is required. No exemptions or waivers (religious/medical) will be considered.
