About the Role:
As a Construction Estimator, you will be a key member of the Construction Services Team, collaborating with Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to deliver successful projects for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing accurate and competitive project cost estimates, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Conducting site visits and performing takeoffs to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Working closely with vendors to obtain pricing for materials and equipment.
- Preparing and presenting detailed cost proposals to clients.
- Managing and tracking project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilizing project management software to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing/construction environment.
- Proven experience in estimating and project cost analysis.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and industry best practices.
Additional Skills/Knowledge (Preferred):
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
- Technical background with a strong understanding of large mechanical systems.
