PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
– Assist in backlog grooming to ensure requirements are known and stories are sized.
– Track and communicate Epic/Story status, risks and issues to primary stakeholders and project management.
– Implement and track metrics to facilitate delivery of high-quality solutions on time.
– Provide estimations for work completion as well as communication of potential trade-off decisions for prioritization.
– Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide team to higher scrum maturity.
– Remove roadblocks and resolve conflicts that impede the team’s progress.
– Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large complex cross-functional projects and manage implementation activities for concurrent work-streams.
– Anticipate bottlenecks, drive issue resolution, identify risk, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
– Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
– 3+ years of experience leading Agile teams in a Agile Project Management/Scrum Master role.
– Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, Epics, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement)
– Excellent communication skills and servant leadership skills
– BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area of study from an accredited college or university with applicable agile and project management experience.
– IT delivery background with software development experience
– Experience with Agile/Kanban Software Development.
– Certification in Agile methodologies, such as PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a plus.
– Financial Services background is a plus.
