Preconstruction Manager - Data Center/Mission Critical

Location: Atlanta, GA

Base Salary: $160,000 to $180,000

As a Preconstruction Manager, you'll be integral to the planning and development stages of construction projects. You'll manage the preconstruction process from initial concept to the start of construction, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Duties:

• Lead and manage preconstruction efforts for projects over $10M, including preparing estimates, budgets, and scope of work.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to analyze blueprints, solicit quotes, and provide accurate cost estimates.
• Oversee the development of detailed project schedules, logistics plans, and value engineering options.
• Facilitate subcontractor selection, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely material release.
• Lead client meetings, conduct risk assessments, and train and mentor junior preconstruction staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, with 1+ year of data center experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, and the ability to perform onscreen takeoffs.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, CPM schedules, and other project documentation.
