Job Description

We are an executive recruiting firm representing an established company in the UCC filing, corporate due diligence, and credit management industry.


The Director of Sales is a pivotal member of the leadership team, responsible for driving sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and achieving aggressive growth targets. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record in managing a sales team to sell software, data, platform and services in public record research such as UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) and corporate services to various financial, legal and equipment leasing markets.


Utilizing a consultative sales approach and the ability to provide strategic insights to the CEO and management team is crucial. Is also an individual contributor who will have their own new label revenue target. Involves moderate to extensive travel as necessary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and drive EBITA growth.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a dynamic sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and

continuous improvement.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the CEO and management team to contribute strategic insights and support overall company objectives.

• Analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies.

• Create incentive plan that is aligned with our corporate and sales strategy.

• Hands-on approach with sales activities to ensure buy in from the sales team.

• Proactively pursue professional development activities (e.g., reviewing professional

publications, establishing personal networks, continuous industry training and updates).

• Perform various other job-related duties as prescribed by company and departmental need.

• Cross train with team and other departments.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• College degree required, business-related field preferred

• At least 7 years of outside sales and sales management experience with selling transactional services and online applications to the financial (asset-based lenders, commercial banks, factors, equipment leasing companies and/or SBA) and legal verticals.

• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and

command of the English language.
