Job Overview

We seek a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Systems Controls Manager to lead complex building automation and controls projects in the commercial mechanical construction sector. This role is critical to ensuring seamless project delivery, from initial design to final commissioning, with a focus on energy efficiency, mechanical systems integration, and advanced control technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced building automation and control systems for commercial mechanical projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
• Manage the installation and commissioning of HVAC controls, integrating platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, Schneider Electric, and other building management systems (BMS).
• Provide hands-on guidance for BACnet communication protocols, DDC controls, and associated system configurations. Collaborate on CAD drawings and system schematics using AutoCAD and Visio.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. Proactively address and resolve challenges to meet quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls project management, focusing on building automation and HVAC systems in the commercial mechanical construction sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (EIT or PE license preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and control systems, including BACnet and DDC controls, is essential. Familiarity with platforms like Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric is also essential.
• A proven record of local and stable work history within the industry, demonstrating a commitment to long-term project success.
