SWF focuses on improving access and delivery of mental health services for Colorado children and youth who are at risk of suicide. Their unique program provides an avenue for families to obtain actual treatment services for children and youth at risk for suicide by breaking down financial and transportation barriers. Suicide is the leading cause of death for youth in Colorado. It is an unfortunate reality that access to quality mental health care is limited. More so than ever before, it has become increasingly difficult to navigate mental healthcare and prohibitively expensive to afford therapy. The Second Wind Fund has become Colorado’s Resource for Youth Suicide Prevention.

SWF is seeking a visionary leader with strong strategic insight, business acumen, and relationship-building skills, along with a strong commitment to the values of the organization to serve as Executive Director. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall strategic and operational functions of SWF and oversees staff management/development, administrative functions, financial oversight, programs, fundraising/development, and the implementation of the strategic direction and plan developed with the Board of Directors. SWF operates from offices in central Denver, there will be occasional travel around the state and specifically to Grand Junction which is required.
