Responsibilities:

• Design electrical power systems for 277/480-volt and 120/240-volt setups, including conductor and conduit sizing, MCC layout, motor controls, grounding systems, and control system designs.
• Travel for temporary assignments as needed (up to 15%).

Typical Duties:

• Perform analyses, prepare drawings, and write specifications.
• Prepare work products.
• Serve as a technical advisor for electrical and controls design.
• Prepare scopes and budgets for proposals.
• Oversee construction projects as a client representative.

Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• P.E. license.
• 5-15 years of experience.
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification (a plus).

Experience in:

• Low voltage power design.
• Instrumentation design.
• Field experience with troubleshooting and installing systems.
• Process design of instrumentation and controls systems for water treatment and industrial facilities.
• SCADA systems operation and design.
• Selecting instruments to fit process requirements and coordinating with overall SCADA & PLC systems.
• Preparing arc flash studies.
• Medium voltage utility power designs (helpful).
• Working independently and productively with minimal supervision.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members, and individuals.
• Leading and mentoring junior staff.
