A law firm is seeking a Senior Tax Attorney with over 20 years of experience to join its tax practice in the Manchester, NH, and Boston, MA offices. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills and a portable practice. This role involves advising clients on the tax consequences, risks, and opportunities associated with business entity structures, mergers, acquisitions, and tax controversy matters. The position offers the opportunity to work across a range of industries on complex commercial transactions.Duties:Advise clients on the tax aspects of business structures, mergers, acquisitions, and transactions.Address individual, partnership, and corporate tax issues in complex commercial transactions.Structure business formations, debt and equity financing, and mergers and acquisitions.Provide legal counsel on employee compensation, benefits, and related tax matters.Draft legal documents and memoranda related to tax planning and business transactions.Manage and resolve tax controversy matters.Collaborate with clients from diverse industries to provide tailored tax solutions.Requirements:20+ years of experience in tax law.Leadership skills and a portable practice (not necessarily self-sustaining).Strong experience with individual, partnership, and corporate tax issues.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach multidimensional legal issues creatively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Massachusetts or New Hampshire (required).Skills:Proficiency in structuring mergers, acquisitions, and business formations.Strong legal drafting and analytical abilities.Ability to manage complex tax matters across multiple industries.Experience with affordable housing tax credits, sales and use tax, estate planning, or qualified plans (preferred but not required).Leadership opportunities within a dynamic and collaborative law firm.Professional growth and development across multiple office locations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
