•Experienced with complex Pedi cases needed
•12 Physician/32CRNA Anesthesia Care Team Model (+2 AA)
•464 licensed beds
•Care team model: 4:1 (Physician: Approx 90% supervision, 10% doing own cases)
•Level 1 trauma center, Level 3 NICU, pediatric ICU
•24 hour children's ER-ER docs have
•Sedation privileges, rare that our providers work in there
•22 ORs (12 in Paley Institute and 10 in main OR)-all on same campus
•10,675 annual cases
•PHYSICIAN REQUIREMENTS: Preferred-Pediatric fellowship trained OR Pediatric-Boarded Acceptable- Strong Peds Experience. Because it's a children's hospital, 90% of team is pediatric trained or boarded-remaining providers are pediatric capable
•Cases include B&B, general, OB, trauma, interventional radiology, neuro, ortho, specialized ortho (limb lengthening), ophthalmology, MRI under sedation and crannies. HIGH RISK PEDS AND HIGH RISK OB. Peds urology, peds ENT.
•Physician provider will do 60-70% peds
•No cardiac or pain
•About 60% of ortho cases receive blocks
•Approximately 3,000 deliveries and 40% are C-sections
