Compensation: $30 per hour
We are hiring for a Machinist who will be responsible for servicing all machining requirements, including but not limited to Carbon/Carbon (C/C) products, test specimens, materials, manufacturing tooling, and equipment components. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to apply and further develop your manual machining skills.
Details:

• Schedule: 6:00am - 4:30pm or 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
• Pay Rate: $30/Hr.
• Start Date: February 21st

• Service machining requirements for carbon/carbon products, test specimens, tooling, and equipment components.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts using mechanical equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerance levels.
• Operate manual and automatic machines: vertical mills, horizontal lathes, surface grinders, manual and tracking band saws.
• Perform geometric and mathematical calculations for machining and inspection.
• Inspect in-process and finished products for quality and technical compliance.
• Maintain machine tools and equipment in clean operating condition.
• Handle hazardous waste per safety procedures if required.
• Participate in Lean activities and follow all safety protocols.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• CNC operating experience.
• Manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of ASME Y 14.5.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Experience with manually operated equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• 2-year technical degree.
• Manual machining experience.
• Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experience.
