• 5-9 years of experience $74.15
• 10+ years of experience $78.30
• Infirmary assignment $87.00

Company Overview: Our client is seeking an Autonomous Nurse Practitioner for a correctional facility. This position involves minimal supervision from physicians and will be assigned to the infirmary.
Position Summary: The successful candidate must hold an advanced certification and/or license as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and have relevant experience working autonomously in any setting.
Responsibilities:

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures, orders and performs diagnostic procedures, and prescribes controlled substances and devices in accordance with current regulations.
• Works independently with minimal supervision providing diagnosis and treatment according to protocol.

Work Conditions:

• Contacts are made with patients in the provision of care and more limited contact with physicians for their consultation.

• • The limited availability of physician oversight increases the consequence of error.
  • Work significantly affects the health of patients due to higher level of independence.
• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner to practice in the state of Virginia and/or other states and territories.

• At least 1 year of experience as an autonomous nurse practitioner in any setting.
• Experience in a similar setting preferred
