Job Summary
The SR. Director of Business Intelligence will lead the development and execution of data-driven strategies that enhance decision-making, improve business performance, and drive growth within the organization. This role involves overseeing the Business Intelligence team, managing data analytics initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to translate complex data into business value.
Job Skills and Traits
Strategic Leadership:
•Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Intelligence strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
•Collaborate with executive leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success across the organization.
Team Management:
•Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Business Intelligence team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
•Recruit, train, and retain top talent to build a diverse and skilled analytics team.
Data Analytics & Insights:
•Oversee the design and implementation of data analytics solutions, dashboards, and reports to support various business functions.
•Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data used for analysis and reporting.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and address challenges through data analysis and visualization.
Stakeholder Engagement:
•Work closely with key stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytics solutions.
•Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
Project Management:
•Manage multiple analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities.
Technology Management:
•Evaluate and implement advanced analytics tools and technologies to enhance the organization's analytical capabilities.
•Stay current with industry trends and innovations in data analytics and business intelligence
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
•10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
•Proven track record of leading successful data analytics initiatives that drive business outcomes.
Technical Skills:
•Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), database management systems (e.g., SQL), and statistical analysis software.
•Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
Leadership Skills:
•Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
Project Management:
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $185,000 to $195,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA's total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
