E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in Fort Liberty, NC in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). USSOCOM develops and employs?the world's finest SOF to conduct global special operations and activities as part of the Joint Force, in concert with the U.S. Government Interagency, Allies, and Partners, to support persistent, networked, and distributed combatant command operations and campaigns against state and non-state actors all to protect and advance U.S. policies and objectives.
Job Responsibilities: Systems administrators will use strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government's system's hardware and software. Candidate requirements vary depending on system complexity, the types of operating and network systems being supported, and the size of the organization.
Typical duties include:
- Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, software and networking issues.
- Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware
- Performing system backups and recovery.
- Conducting server builds.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II security certification (e.g., Security+ ce).
- 3-5 years of experience working with the specific types of hardware and software systems used by the Government.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical staff.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.
Preferred Qualifications: - Professional certifications such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA).
- Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
