Job Description:
- This role is critical to supporting the efficient management and operation of the DOORS database while ensuring compliance with security and contractual obligations.
- Applicants should possess strong technical expertise and administrative capabilities to meet the demands of this dynamic position.
Expected Responsibilities:
DOORS Administrative/Power User Tasks:
- Support users in creating exports from DOORS (at minimum, for DOORS Classic).
- Create accounts and projects within the DOORS environment.
- Identify, define, and perform necessary DOORS updates; communicate and implement updates as required.
- Implement and integrate database constraints and guidelines into modules using DXL scripts (e.g., setting up SDDVP attributes, versions, enforcing common change practices, etc.).
- Field user questions about DOORS usage and corresponding best practices.
- Define and deploy processes or workflows for publishing engineering artifacts from DOORS (at minimum, for DOORS Classic).
- Develop documentation such as "Wiki" or Confluence-type pages, including FAQs, best practices, and processes/procedures (at minimum, for DOORS Classic).
DOORS SME Tasks:
- Establish processes for authorizing and creating DOORS modules that comply with contractual and security policies.
- Define and implement processes for authorizing and assigning user roles and permissions.
- Execute the above processes in compliance with contractual and security policies.
- Develop and implement a backup, recovery, and spill mediation plan for the DOORS database.
