ROW Agent | Allied Resources Technical Consultants

About the Position:

Allied Resources is looking for a ROW Agent in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position provides an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k with a company match, discount programs, and more!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acquire valid right of way (ROW) for electric distribution and communication facilities, negotiating job modifications/design changes with property owners as needed.
  • Ensure ROW acquisition aligns with engineering and construction schedules.
  • Investigate property ownership through courthouse records, tax maps, and inspections, ensuring compliance with laws regulating land use.
  • Secure access road agreements and negotiate lease agreements for temporary laydown areas as required.
  • Support major distribution projects by coordinating with contracted engineering firms and managing workload, including ROW contractors.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between property owners and the company, addressing land use issues, crop damage claims, and ROW-related customer concerns before, during, and after projects.
  • Maintain timely communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, ensuring updates are reflected in work management systems.
  • Document ROW processes, including agreements, revisions, correspondence, and permits, and ensure proper notarization and recording.
  • Facilitate acquisition of permits from government agencies and railroads.
  • Provide ROW support to other departments and participate in storm restoration efforts as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, real estate, or STEM with 3+ years of field experience in ROW, real estate, surveying, civil engineering, or land management; or Associate’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory record.
  • PA Notary Public Appointment required.
  • Proficiency in real estate law, engineering drawings, and legal documents related to ROW transactions.
