Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Behavioral Health

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our behavioral health team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications, compliance with policies and procedures, and providing high-quality care to our clients. Key Responsibilities:

1.Medication Administration Supervision:

• Supervise Recovery Technicians delegated to assist with medication administration.
• Ensure strict adherence to all medication administration-related policies and procedures.
• Monitor the medication supply and oversee the refill process to ensure uninterrupted availability.

2.Training and Development:

• Train new hires on medication administration policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide ongoing in-service training to maintain staff competency and compliance.

3.Medication Documentation and Compliance:

• Regularly review the electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify errors or violations, provide coaching to staff, and implement progressive discipline when necessary.

4.Client Care and Consultation:

• Provide consultation and health-related support to clients, including referrals to external healthcare providers as needed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address client needs and ensure holistic care.

5.Team Collaboration and Conflict Resolution:

• Serve as a team player, working closely with other staff members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Utilize strong conflict resolution skills to address and resolve issues effectively.

5.Environment of Care and Safety:

• Partner with the Nurse Manager to maintain a risk-free care environment and prioritize client safety.
• Actively contribute to creating a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
• Licensure: Current and unencumbered LPN license in Minnesota.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration and documentation processes (eMAR experience is a plus).
