Position Overview
The Nursing Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) team and the support department, which includes Recovery Tech Supervisors and Recovery Techs. These team members are trained and delegated responsibilities related to medication administration and adherence to established protocols. This leadership role is critical in ensuring client safety and maintaining the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision & Coordination : Lead and manage the LPN team and support staff, ensuring alignment with clinical protocols and organizational goals.
- Quality Assurance : Oversee the accuracy of eMAR (electronic Medication Administration Record) entries and ensure compliance with medication protocols.
- Training & Development : Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to staff while addressing errors through progressive discipline when necessary.
- Conflict Resolution : Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by resolving conflicts and maintaining team cohesion.
- Policy Management : Review, update, and create policies to meet evolving needs and ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Performance Monitoring : Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), such as reducing medication errors and ensuring protocol compliance.
- Collaboration & Reporting : Work closely with the Vice President of Clinical Services and other leadership team members to achieve clinical excellence and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team in a healthcare setting.
- Strong conflict resolution and team-building skills.
- Experience working in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) settings (preferred).
- Expertise in policy development, performance monitoring, and maintaining high standards of quality care.
