Title: Research Scientist PhD Degree

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute research investigations using experimental and numerical techniques to improve thermal performance of power electronics device and package.

• Perform device and system level thermo-fluid simulations to gain understanding of the performance and trade-offs.

• Porous material design and potential fabrication for thermal management solutions including vapor chambers and two-phase cold plates.

• Document learnings in internal reports and external publications to disseminate knowledge.

• Generate innovative ideas, new project concepts, and demonstrate innovative thinking to solve technical problems.

• Generate and capture novel intellectual property in patents.

Requirements:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering

• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, and simulation software such as ANSYS and COMSOL.

• Excellent ability to analyze and interpret experimental data.

• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.

• Excellent oral and written English language skills.
