Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to fill a opening with a manufacturing company located in Dayton, OH

Requirements of the Supply Chain Manager

• (5) five or more years’ experience Supervising in a supplier/materials and logistics management role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
• Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong knowledge of QAD or Plex
• Experience in a union, manufacturing facility for the automotive industry preferred
• Familiarity with automotive EDI systems

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager

• Has overall responsibility for the materials management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, controlling and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements
• Supervises direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
• Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements, while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges
• Oversees and ensures proper production control planning and scheduling programs are in place to meet sales forecasts and to balance the level of manpower and machine requirements
• Investigates and resolves problems resulting from material shortages
• Oversees the shipping/receiving and logistics functions
