Job Summary:

We are seeking an HVAC Estimator to join our talented service team. This person will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of HVAC service and repair projects for residential and commercial clients.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Internal clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
  • Use technical knowledge and experience to accurately estimate the cost of labor, materials, and equipment required for each project.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technicians and project managers, to gather relevant information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive estimates, including breakdowns of costs and timelines, for client review.
  • Present estimates to clients and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, including documentation of client communications and any revisions to estimates.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, pricing, and technology to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Assist with other duties as needed, including supporting Service managers and technicians during busy periods.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in HVAC or related fields preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience as an HVAC technician or estimator, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate costs and estimates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant computer programs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site visits.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to client locations as needed.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with clients.
