About the Role

As the Head of Commercial Analytics, you will manage a team dedicated to deploying advanced analytics use cases, prioritizing Operations and Performance Improvement (OPI) initiatives, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, focusing on delivering profitable trading outcomes and enhancing market insights.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership :

• Lead and develop a team of trading and analytics professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Build a "center of excellence" within the organization, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Actively contribute to project ideation and deployment when needed.

Commercial Strategy :

• Oversee the identification, sizing, and prioritization of analytics initiatives to maximize trading value.
• Continuously refine trading processes to improve performance and manage risk effectively.

Stakeholder Engagement :

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Translate complex analytical insights into actionable strategies for senior leadership.
• Support cross-functional initiatives to strengthen trading capabilities.

Market Expertise :

• Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights and analysis.
• Enhance organizational understanding of market dynamics and their influence on trading strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, engineering, data science, or a related field. Advanced certifications (CFA, FRM) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy trading sector, with a strong background in analytics or data science.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of energy markets and trading commodities, with expertise in assessing market, credit, and operational risks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
