Position Details
Specialty: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree from accredited training institution
- Speech/Language Pathology license issued be the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- PEL with SLP endorsement required
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work cooperatively with administrators, consultants, community members and others
- Consult with teachers and relevant staff concerning the educational needs of students and the interpretation of assessment data
- Assist teachers in establishing structures to accommodate the learning needs of students
- Follow School Board, district, and building guidelines and procedures
- Consult with parents of students, who have been formally evaluated, about educational interventions and/or management strategies that can be utilized at home and at school to assist the student in reaching their full potential
- Manage routine business and record keeping efficiently
- Maintain confidential information about students and their families
