Workers’ Compensation Attorney

Location: Downtown, NY

Salary: 100-150K DOE

Qualifications

• Candidates must be admitted to practice in the State of New York with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Workers Compensation Attorney
• The ideal candidate will possess strong time management, writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Admitted to practice in New York State
• JD from ABA accredited law school
• Strong understanding of New York’s Workers Compensation insurance law and regulations, and American Arbitration Association (AAA) procedures
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Managing and organizing worker's compensation caseload from start to finish
• Attend hearings and depositions (virtual and in-person)
• Effectively communicating with clients to keep them apprised of the status of cases and ensure that their needs are met
• Other document preparation as needed
• (Note: This position may require travel within the five boroughs of New York City and Long Island.)
