Job Summary

Homeland is partnering with a leading national hospital chain to hire a Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services. This key leadership role, reporting to the hospital’s Chief Financial Officer, will oversee the department’s operations, staff, and programs. The Director will set departmental goals, work closely with other health system departments to optimize efficiency, and align with organizational objectives. Additionally, they will keep hospital administration informed on departmental activities, challenges, and regulatory developments.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a growing Imaging Services team of 30 full-time employees
  • Hire, train, develop, and evaluate departmental personnel
  • Assign staff to tasks based on skills and service area needs
  • Take disciplinary action when necessary
  • Collaborate with medical directors to develop and monitor quality standards for imaging services
  • Ensure care exceeds industry standards and aligns with organizational goals
  • Promote departmental services and manage customer concerns, complaints, and community relations
  • Establish and monitor policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies
  • Submit quarterly reports on department activities, including: patient satisfaction, financial variances, staff turnover, hiring trends, quality improvement initiatives, etc.
  • Foster teamwork within the department and across the organization
  • Assist in the development of capital and operating budgets



Requirements

  • 8+ years in the field, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Current ARRT Certification and AZ CRT (within 6 months of hire), or ARDMS (within 6 months of hire)
  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to motivate teams



Additional Information

Our client offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000-$20,000 based on experience and a $10,000 relocation package for eligible applicants.
