Job Description

Job Title: Product Development Manager

Reports To: Director of Product Development

Workweek Schedule: Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week

Work Location: Hybrid role, minimum of 2 days per week onsite at our midtown Manhattan offices (additional days onsite as required)


What You Will Do:

As a key member in the Product Development Team you will be responsible for developing and managing products for major brands like Hello Kitty, Disney, and Pokémon.  You will work cross functionally with internal teams (Merchandising, Sourcing, Design, Sales) and external factories to create high quality products.


Main Job Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and own the product life cycle.
  • Responsible for daily communication with overseas factories.
  • Manage and communicate product pricing, specs, and quality.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Design, Licensing, and Sales counterparts to build strategic product roadmap based on data-driven recommendations.
  • Identify product growth opportunities through trend, licensors, suppliers, and the retail landscape.
  • Maintain cross-functional communication with licensing team, merchandising, design, production, and sourcing.
  • Responsible for hitting development and production timelines
  • Work with testing/compliance partners
  • Collaborate in the ideation and execution of new products and product extensions focusing on home decor, and tabletop decor.
  • Mentor and train product development assistance levels

What You Bring:

  • Experience in sourcing product innovation, brand or product management
  • Knowledge in manufacturing and factory production.
  • Knowledge of ceramics, glass, or hydration a plus.
  • Has worked on licensed products
  • Understanding of consumer needs and retail industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Creative Suite a plus
