Seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer with welding experience to develop welding techniques, procedures, and equipment applications for metal fabrication with a leading manufacturer known for more than 60 years of excellence, growth, and an outstanding culture.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide process support and troubleshooting. Investigate and document welding defects to determine the appropriate cause and potential corrective measures.
- Develop welding procedures that effectively utilize new welding technology.
- Design welding projects and communicate specific equipment and component requirements. Troubleshoot welding problems and provide guidance for product material selection.
- Enhance production capabilities, optimize welding processes, and drive weld improvements.
- Evaluate workflow and production processes and make recommendations for improvement. Create and update manufacturing work instructions, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred or equivalent experience. CWI strongly preferred.
- Welding experience with sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies and use of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings for welding projects a must.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and familiarity with ISO 9000. Knowledge of equipment for purchase, installation, and repair.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
