We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Technician - Level IV to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our clients’ facility in Ladson, SC .
The ideal candidate should have:
- OSHA 10 - Required.
- OSHA 30 - Desirable.
- Required 5-7 years of Industrial HSE experience - Manufacturing or Automotive.
- The role involves active presence on the shop floor observing HSE practices and to maintain interactions with employees / contractors.
- The role will include the delivery of a variety of HSE training.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- A two-year University degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or related field required.
- Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and experience in health, safety, environment, or related field.
Skills/Experience:
- Process Optimization Skills: Ability to identify and implement the most effective and efficient processes, with a focus on continuous improvement to enhance productivity and safety.
- Strong Health and Safety Fundamentals: Proactively champion and model health and safety behaviors, contributing to an injury-free workplace and fostering an interdependent safety culture.
- Expertise in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough, evidence-based investigations of HSE incidents, ensuring accurate root cause analysis and effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Knowledge of HSE Management Systems: Apply international standards within the operating environment to maintain an effective HSE management system and achieve external certification.
- Risk Assessment Proficiency: Evaluate workplace hazards using risk assessment techniques to prioritize and implement control measures, reducing risks to as low as reasonably practicable.
