Job Description

Our client in Phoenix AZ is a leading manufacturer specializing in mechanical and chemical processing, focusing on paints, adhesives, parts machining, and precision manufacturing. We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer to join our team. This role is not a design engineering position but requires expertise in process optimization, manufacturing workflows, and quality standards.

The primary role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to generate drawings, Bill of Materials, in compliant to the Customer drawings and requirements. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will assist in on time completion of defined Product Releases & Quote deliverables. NPI (New Product Introduction).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee manufacturing processes related to paints, adhesives, and machining to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Develop and improve production workflows, process documentation, and standard operating procedures .
  • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precise manufacturing and assembly of parts.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 or NADCAP standards for aerospace and industrial manufacturing.
  • Analyze and optimize chemical and mechanical processing methods to improve production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain process control.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams, quality assurance, and leadership to meet operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing / production engineering role.
  • Background in mechanical / chemical processing , specifically involving paints, adhesives, or machining .
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
  • Experience with AS9100 or NADCAP standards and process documentation.
  • Ability to write and maintain detailed process documentation and work instructions .
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset .
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple teams.
