FP&A Manager - Manufacturing
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Compensation: $140,000-$145,000 base salary + 10% bonus

About the Opportunity
Vaco is conducting a search on behalf of a leading global manufacturing company for an Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to take full ownership of financial planning and analysis across multiple business units.
This sole contributor role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with strong FP and A experience in a manufacturing environment . The individual in this role must be able to operate independently with minimal direction , collaborating with leadership to analyze key financial data and drive business performance .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP and A) for multiple business units, including P&L and working capital management .
- Develop financial forecasts , conduct variance analysis, and deliver insights to leadership.
- Act as the primary finance partner to business unit leadership, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Analyze manufacturing cost structures , collaborating with cost accounting to assess standard costs, margins, and inventory valuation.
- Oversee the budgeting and strategic planning process , developing financial models and executive reporting.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes in collaboration with accounting.
- Streamline FP&A reporting and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Conduct capital expenditure analysis and financial justifications for strategic initiatives.
- Utilize JD Edwards, OneStream, and Power BI for financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience , with a strong focus on manufacturing finance .
- Cost accounting and inventory management expertise in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to operate independently and manage FP&A functions without heavy oversight.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools .
- Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, OneStream, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and business acumen , able to work closely with leadership teams.
