Job Description

MAGNIFY is actively seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Manager to serve our Richmond, VA area client’s HR team on contract for an estimated term of a year or more.


Must haves:

Experienced in industrial or manufacturing environment

Familiarity/experience with Workers Compensation

Knowledge/understanding of VA Labor Law


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Effective leadership, managing all aspects of performance and relations, addressing concerns, acknowledging achievements, and otherwise handling any other issues
  • Oversees and manages recruitment and selection process, remaining aware of needs, as well as ensuring implementation of appropriate training and continued development
  • Encourage and work to facilitate ongoing engagement, motivational techniques, positive environment, etc. to ensure employee retention
  • Develop and monitor HR procedure, strategies, etc. throughout all areas within the organization
  • Review, develop, and oversee performance appraisal system designed to ensure outstanding performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Consistently remain within legal compliance

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources Management or other HR leadership roles
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Multi-State HR background
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Experience with benefits administration
  • Active listening, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively lead others at all levels within the organization
  • Experience with Paylocity is a PLUS!
  • Solid understanding of, and ability to critically analyze, human resource metrics
  • Working knowledge of HR databases/systems
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law, state and federal employment laws, and Human Resources best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
