Job Title: International Trade Compliance Officer

Reports to: Chief Legal & Compliance Officer

Summary

This role ensures compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, managing export/import processes, classification of goods, and risk mitigation. It involves collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC) and maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge.
• Oversee customs compliance, including classification (HTS, ECCN) and customs documentation.
• Manage export controls, licensing, and restricted party screening.
• Conduct trade compliance training and promote awareness across the organization.
• Perform internal audits, respond to government inquiries, and refine compliance policies.
• Collaborate with supply chain, legal, and procurement teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Assess and mitigate trade compliance risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in international trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export control laws (EAR, ITAR, OFAC).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and export compliance tools.
• Professional certification (CECP) is a plus.
