Job Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer III to support the qualification and ramp-up of high-speed cable manufacturing process equipment. This role requires hands-on involvement in process control, variability reduction, defect reduction, and Six Sigma (DMAIC) problem-solving. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process improvements, defect reduction, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Utilize engineering tools (SPC, DoE, PEX, Six Sigma) to monitor and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues using data-driven decision-making.
- Develop standard work documentation (SOPs, SOS, Job Aids, Training Docs).
- Conduct experiments to enhance process understanding and technology deployment.
- Present process updates and findings to leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on manufacturing expertise with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process control, variability reduction, and throughput improvement.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (JMP, Minitab, Power BI).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
Work Schedule & Travel:
- Standard 40-hour workweek , with potential for weekends/holidays based on project needs.
- Location: Hickory/Newton, NC.
