Job Title: Communications Coordinator
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - Tuesday to Thursday in office)
Duration: 12+ Months
Position Overview:
The communications Coordinator will support the client News and Stations, Media Ventures communications teams. The coordinator will support two senior executives, as well as work closely with both divisions' show publicists and coordinators, across administrative duties, communications and publicity efforts, internal and external communications, and events in support of the divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administrative duties, including managing schedules, expenses and contacts, and booking travel.
  • Track media coverage by compiling and distributing clip reports and highlight sheets.
  • Maintain, create and update press lists.
  • Manage , team calendar across divisions.
  • Support the publicity efforts for the divisions' show launches, editorial initiatives, special projects, and more, including drafting and distributing press materials, guest listings, transcripts, and editorial highlights.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches and internal communications
  • Support event planning and execution for industry and company events, such as the Daytime Emmys.
  • Assist with social media posts.

  • Plus if there's proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in entertainment publicity, ,, or a related industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with entertainment industry trends, media outlets, and influencers.
  • Experience with media tracking tools and , software (e.g., MuckRack, Meltwater, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
