About this Position
As National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing sales with new and existing customers in the US and influence the strategic sales plan. The candidate we are looking for will bring his/her innovative business development approach along with a strong track record in logistic and packaging solution selling. The selected individual will thrive off working closely together with the manufacturing representatives and distributors to increase awareness of Palcut’s products and services, and most importantly, convert prospects into sales. The National Sales Manager will use a consultative sales style to provide prospects and existing customer with applicable solutions and keep them up to date on new industry trends. The opportunity for growth within this fast-growing environment is evident. This role reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer at HQ in Denmark. Travel up to 90 days annually is expected, mostly domestic.
Role
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Overall responsibility for US sales with support to LATAM dealers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major players and stakeholders
- Execute on partner strategy: Ensure best practice in sales and argumentation, Evaluate and define dealership targets and budget, Develop route to market with agents and manufacturing representatives, Develop road map with partners in each region and monitor performance
- Execute financial strategy: Develop and grow sales to new and existing partners, Ensure cost efficient sales, Negotiate price according to pricing strategy, Market input for product folio development – product mix and annual turnover
- Drive product launches and increase customer satisfaction
- Update customer database via CRM system
- Quotes, samples, trials, shipping part of daily operations
- Ensure the “BCE” from first contact to unit is installed and operator trained
- Monthly reporting on market development, new cases and market trends
- Share best practice with AM from other regions to grow knowledge
- Together with CSO develop new initiatives on leasing, warranty, service agreements working through dealers
- Develop sales tools for partners to ease the sales of Palcut product folio
- Together with PM and sales develop USP and value propositions
Your Profile
Your Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business management, marketing or related discipline (preferred)
- 10-12 years of experience in a commercial position in the packaging industry with packaging materials
- 7+ years of progressive sales experience incl. in distribution sales
- Comprehensive understanding of the logistic industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Dynamics CRM
- Experience working in an international company is considered a plus
