Sonic Connectors has immediate openings for Wellhead Account Managers located in Midland, Texas. An Account Manager will be responsible for gaining new business in drilling and production wellhead applications. Account Managers work with customers and operations to ensure inventory requirements are met. While collaborating with accounting to ensure all billing requirements are met. Key position functions include:
Be visible to clients at site level, by visiting customer rig, production facilities and field offices on a weekly basis.
Support sales objectives, through understanding clients ongoing operations and requirements for service support, product change and or drill time ‘enhancement.’
Identify and develop new revenue streams through new accounts existing customer accounts, via understanding at site level client’s requirements.
Develop strong rapport with key customer representatives by providing consistent customer service, pro-actively resolving customer issues.
Develop and maintain a high level of cognizance and expertise with respect to company products, the competitive environment, customer requirements and the emerging trends and opportunities of the oil and gas industry.
Work with customers to identify changing requirements concerning new products and applications, from industry trends and customer landscape changes.
Maintain awareness of upcoming business opportunities and pursue customer specific strategies; participate as required in establishing strategic direction related to sales and marketing focus, product development and/or customer specific strategies.
Identify and manage target accounts, client activity, revenue forecasting and maintain customer account plans.
Consistently pursue communication with target account contacts, and present solutions as applicable, whether new product, remanufactured product, or customer property.
Preferred candidate will possess a combination of the following:
Strong technical knowledge of wellhead equipment and applications
Minimum 5 years related experience in a wellhead product and associated services.
Good working knowledge of well drilling, completion, and production processes.
Strong presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Computer literate- proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Mechanical aptitude- understand design and function of wellhead equipment.
Highly self-motivated and well organized.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school diploma preferred.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in an Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of sales and/or business development.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Basic knowledge and understanding of ESP and Wellhead equipment.
Solid understanding of sales techniques, market trends, and customer behavior is essential.
Physical and Safety Requirements
Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
