What you’ll do as the Business Development Manager:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers’ needs by analyzing personal and business financial data gathered through relationship reviews and personal meetings
- Acquire new business customers by prospecting in the assigned territory and working with Loan Officers and CSRs
- Profile new and existing commercial clients to ensure cross-selling of deposits, credit, and other bank products
- Partner with other bank team members to uncover sales opportunities among both current and potential business customers
- Identify consumer product opportunities among business owners and refer them to other specialists
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the bank’s products and services, as well as those offered by competitors
- Maintain a high level of customer service while assisting customers in onboarding and servicing Treasury Management products
- Educate customers on Treasury Management products and capabilities
- Act as the day-to-day contact for Treasury Management products and services
What you’ll bring to the Business Development Manager role:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or equivalent experience
- Previous banking experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within the banking industry preferred
- Experience with business deposit products preferred
- Strong analytical abilities
- Familiarity with diverse types of businesses, industries, and markets
- Sound understanding of financial and economic concepts
- Knowledge of bank products and services to identify appropriate sales opportunities
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
