Location: Cary, NC (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: Through 12/31/2026

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00/hr (W2)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Business Analyst II to join a dynamic team responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, defining user requirements, and driving Agile development efforts to deliver impactful products. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis, SQL, and process optimization.


Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Acting as the voice of the customer, refining and clarifying user stories in Agile development.
  • Facilitating requirements gathering with multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product needs.
  • Drafting detailed user stories with business logic, application features, and acceptance criteria.
  • Supporting product launches by testing new releases, ensuring functionality, and minimizing disruption.
  • Providing third-level product support, analyzing data usage, and prioritizing maintenance needs.
  • Developing customer communication plans and training materials.
  • Authoring and managing business rules, workflows, and internal documentation.
  • Conducting ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business objectives.


Here’s what our ideal candidate has:

  • 3–6 years of business analysis experience (or 7–10 years without a degree).
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write queries involving multiple tables.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in data analysis, market research, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of rail industry, logistics, geospatial databases, GIS concepts, and Python.
