Job Description :
As an Expo, you will act as the bridge between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensuring that orders are communicated clearly and prepared accurately. You’ll be responsible for checking and coordinating the completion of each dish, ensuring it meets our quality standards, and ensuring all orders are delivered to guests in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate orders between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Plate food according to restaurant standards, ensuring presentation and quality are top-notch.
- Check completed orders for accuracy, including correct items, garnishes, and special requests.
- Manage the flow of tickets, ensuring that orders are completed in the right order and within appropriate time frames.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure that dishes are prepared correctly and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized work station in the expo area.
- Assist with expediting orders during peak hours to ensure a smooth, efficient operation.
- Handle any special guest requests, allergies, or dietary restrictions by clearly communicating with the kitchen team.
- Ensure orders are delivered to guests quickly, accurately, and with a sense of urgency.
- Help with restocking and organizing ingredients or supplies in the kitchen as needed.
- Support the kitchen and waitstaff by ensuring that the overall flow of service is maintained.
Requirements :
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused when the restaurant is busy.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
