Location: On-site in support of the client’s East Peoria, IL office (open to candidates willing to relocate at own expense, prior to day 1)
Duration: Initial one-year contract with high potential to extend/convert based on performance

IV Process:
1 hour panel IV
Day-to-Day:
- 30% day to day support - all sorts of software things
- PCs and servers
- Windows updates on servers and PCs
- Keep everything patched all the time for PCs and servers
- Operations support
- 40% application enhancements
- If they put a new piece of equipment on the floor, it will require new recipe template
- Programming C# application to make new template
- Backend application updates
- Putting massive amount of data into AI modeling to help predict failures

- The client’s Advanced Materials Technology (AMT) division supports the company’s heat treat manufacturing equipment, processes, and technological development around the world.
- AMT is currently seeking an experienced Software Specialist to deliver world-class support to our business unit customers.
- The Software Specialist bears primary responsibility for application development and programming, database administration, security implementation, and application change management.

Typical task breakdown:
- Software architecture and design, including documentation
- Capture and analyze system requirements
- Develop, deploy, and manage C# Web APIs
- Design and develop data-driven applications
- Using and managing source control systems (Git)
- Database development administration (Oracle, SQLServer)
- Operating system administration (Windows, Powershell)
- Troubleshooting of database and reporting platforms
- Implement and manage software security and access control (SAML)
- Participate on many projects concurrently and with cross-functional teams
- Lead new technology initiatives in industrial applications
Interaction with team:
- Support chemical manager systems, user of all software’s and fixes that will occur. Weekly meeting and will work directly as well with team lead.
Work environment:
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent industry experience
- Advanced Computer Science Degree
- 5-10 years’ experience (flexible with years of experience ) and will count internship as well
- Open to master’s degree and years of experience is flexible
