Description$17.28-$20.00 Hourly Under both the Grocery/Refrigeration Manager and Store Manager Supervision, the Grocery/Refrigeration Clerkperforms the following duties: TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Customer service including special ordersAssist in receiving, storing, and stocking of products & proper rotationStock & face product, check prices on existing and new stock for consistency with shelf labels, and marking shelf labels with blue chips if inconsistencies are foundArrange and refill special product displays and samplesPlace "Temporarily Unavailable" tags on empty shelf spacesHandle product damages and credits according to company policyPlace orders for products form other stores and manufacturers and/or distributorsChecks delivery invoices/packing lists against shipped product for accuracyMust be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customersDust and clean shelves and continuously check product expiration dateMaintain awareness of safety and security in assigned area and removing safety hazards (ladders, cardboard boxes, etc.)Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following: Training/Education: A High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificateExperience: Previous customer experience is a plusAbility to: Read, comprehend and relate product knowledge to customers in an understandable mannerWork in an accurate manner in a fast-paced environmentWork in a team with those contacted in the course of workAssist customers promptlyCommunicate orally and in writing with supervisors, co-workers and customersPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions: Lift product, singles and case boxes, over 100 times per day, lifted from floor level to carts and shelves: 6" to 6' up to 75 poundsCarry same items listed above, max distance 10'Push/pull carts of case and loose productExtended time in walk in coolers and freezers - jackets, gloves and hats providedStand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)Climb ladders, squat, bendExtend arms overhead and reach for products and boxesMay work both inside and outside in wet and/or cold weather conditionsStock shelves using carts, box cutters and dolliesSpecial Requirements: Must be available to work various shifts as neededThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the performance of this job.
