Job Description

Eleven Recruiting is searching for a 2nd Shift NDT Technician to join our client's team in Simi Valley. The NDT Technician will perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes, including liquid penetrant and radiographic inspections, to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to document and interpret results accurately.


Responsibilities:

Penetrant Inspection

  • Perform and interpret process controls for penetrant inspection, including ensuring proper lighting, temperatures, and system performance evaluations.
  • Process parts through the full penetrant inspection cycle.
  • Accurately document results of liquid penetrant inspections.
  • Understand the scope and limitations of the liquid penetrant inspection method.


Radiographic Inspection

  • Conduct and interpret process controls for radiographic inspection, such as x-ray tube warm-up, densitometer calibration, and film step wedge preparation.
  • Set up and operate radiation-generating devices, including x-ray machines, and process parts through the radiographic inspection cycle.
  • Operate digital detector array x-ray systems.
  • Interpret radiographic films and document inspection results per procedures, codes, and specifications.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Minimum 2 years as a certified NDT Technician.
  • Documented hours per NAS410 standards: 1200 hours (Level I - Penetrant); 1600 hours (Level II - Penetrant).
  • Proficiency in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT).
  • Ability to acquire and interpret both digital and conventional radiographs in accordance with industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical procedures.
  • Background in industries such as aerospace, medical, oil & gas, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Certification in radiation safety (e.g., ASNT IRRSP Radiation Safety certification) is preferred.
  • Experience with welding, heat treating, machining, and assembly procedures is a bonus.
