Key Responsibilities

• Control Systems Design: Develop and implement advanced control algorithms for 3-phase active rectifiers and motor control electronics.
• Software Development: Create embedded software requirements and write optimized code for power electronic applications.
• System Design: Contribute to system architecture, developing subsystem designs that balance requirements, cost, and reliability.
• Testing & Debugging: Perform source and assembly-level debugging for power electronics controllers.
• Performance Optimization: Collaborate with control system engineers to enhance software performance.
• Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to review software designs and participate in design reviews.
• Team Leadership: Lead or support small-to-medium-sized software development teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with vendors, customers, and internal departments to address technical issues.
• Documentation & Compliance: Create software requirements specifications, hardware/software interface control documents, and verification plans to validate compliance with customer requirements.
• Standard Work Improvement: Assess existing processes and lead improvement projects to drive efficiency and quality.

What We’re Looking For

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong background in embedded software architecture and design for power electronics.
• In-depth understanding of active rectifiers, PFC, inverters, and motor control software.
• Experience with communication protocols (CAN, ARINC429, SPI, I2C, RS-232).
• Familiarity with aerospace regulations such as DO178, DO160, and DO254.
• Tool Proficiency:
• Hands-on experience with PSIM, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, and scripting (Perl/Python/PowerShell).
• Proficiency in developing firmware on platforms like TMS320F28XX DSP, PIC16XX, MC68XXX, or X86 DSPs/Microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW for software development.
